Hello Wednesday everyone!

Fall has always been my favorite season because of its cool air and beautiful color. Another reason I like autumn a lot is for the multiple choices I have for layering up with my fashion pieces and playing with colors for my outfits. I'm so happy that fall has finally started in Houston early this week, even though it still feels like summer around lunch time.

I usually prefer colorful outfits to neutral ones, but sometimes I like the combination between black, white and grey. It's always safe to pair your outfits between these colors for both casual occasions or dressing up. Today I chose to pair my Alice + Olivia Sleeveless Herringbone Crop Top with my black Faux Suede Fringe Pencil Skirt.

I really adore this Sleeveless Crop Top from Alice + Olivia for its soft fabric and tight fit. The cropped length makes it easier to pair with a great range of bottoms to help me appear taller due to the raised waistline. As a petite girl, I always prefer to dress in a raised waistline outfit either by using a belt (old post here & here) or choosing cropped tops (old post). Sometimes I choose to tuck in my tops into skirts (old post) or shorts (old post) to raise the waistline.

I have also found a few sleeveless cropped tops that are good for all seasons, with a great range of neutral colors you can choose from including white, grey and black (here & here).

I chose to wear my Ann Taylor necklace with my outfit toady to make it even fashionable and chic looking. For shoes, I wore my J Crew slingback pumps to match my necklace. I also considered wearing my black pumps or booties.
